Seoul, Korea Trip Day 2 (韩国之旅)

Annyeong  Sorry for keeping you guys waiting for so long. I guess it's time to continue to blog about the remaining days of my Korea Trip since many of you were requested. =) In case you guys missed the blog post for Day 1 or you are wondering where did I stay when I travel to Seoul, you may refer to the link at the bottom part area. I will include all the blog post links and vlog at the end.

So do you guys know that we can cook by our own at our hostel? Joan was the big sister of that day because she was the one who cook the egg while I'm the one who prepare the toast. I purposely to choose a "love shape" dish because I think it's lovely. =)

So after we finished our breakfast, we head to the Gwanghwamun for started our journey! Remember to take the Exit 5 if you wish to follow our path to the visited place too. They said capture photo in the train is a must so I did it. LOL

Touch down!

First up, we visited the lovely building called "Spring" which was designed by Claes Oldenburg. The first thing that pop in my mind was it looks like a candy cane to me! Red and blue colour combination just makes people feeling happy.

Not to forget "wefie" with my girls. Look at the photo on the left, Joan got her new horn there. =D

The back view of the Spring.

Nearby the Spring building, there was some hawker stall which selling foods such as fried octopus, seafood and various yakitori etc.

Since Christmas just passed 1 weeks ago, So they have some Christmas decoration too.
Show you guys some love at Seoul <3 p="">

We then head to another destination called "QingXi River".

At first we were wondering what is inside the colourful plastic bag, it does looks like garbage bag. Actually inside of it was lantern. Guess because of the weather so they use the plastic bag to cover it just in case it broken easily by the wind.

You guys need to becareful if you guys plan to visit this place during winter season because there are some parts already turns into ice. So when you walk through it you might fall down because of slippery.

Take photo here as a memory.

Spotted my favourite Korean cartoon here.

Thought wanna visit my favourite chocolate brand Godiva but too bad we are rushing.

Fyi, he was a famous General which admired by most of the South Korea citizen.

Colourful stairs

And this was their 4th king.

There also having 6 units of pillars which contains of the 4th king's engraved images.

Weather was getting colder and we can't wait to get into Gyeongbokgung.

Finally we are here!

Once you enter, just turn right and you can spot the ticket center, They having several palace and its spae was too big. Due to the time issue, we only manage to visit Gyeongbokgung Royal Palace.

Some tourist saying it definitely worth to visit because the palace was featured in the popular Korean movie.

Check out the breathe-taking view~

The lake already turns into ice!

The guard was shifting.

After finished visiting Gyeongbokgung, we head to Insa-dong which is just 2 street away for our lunch because we are hungry like hell. We use a lot of energy when we were visiting the palace because the space was huge.

Check out the crowd.

They selling various kinds of souvenir and this caught my eyes! It was actually a mirror but unfortunately the prices was a little costly for me and I don't think it worth so at the end I didn't purchase it.

The popular lollipop which made by brown sugar.

We decided to take our lunch here.

Ta-da!! Finally the foods has arrived.

Squid Rice (Nakji Dolsot Bibimbap) - 8,000 won | RM26.72
Soy soup with rice (Doenjsng-jjigae) - 6,000 won | RM20.04

I like my soy soup because it doesn't taste very salty and I like the fact that when you having meals at Korea, they actually has some small dishes of garnish for you. You can always ask for refill when you finished it. We love the cold tofu and salad a lot. =)

We then continue our journey again!

Yes, we tried the "Hanbok". It is the traditional Korean dress. It is often characterized by vibrant colors and simple lines without pockets. It is a MUST to try if you plan to visit Korea. =)

So this was what I had chosen. The staff told us that the dragon icon was represent Queen status while the floral pattern was represent for princess. Therefore, now you guys knew why I choose the dragon hanbok. LOL. I also purposely chosen this one simply because I like pink and blue to match my nail polish,

Joan told me pose like this because she said this was the traditional pose when you're wearing hanbok.

General Information of Hanbok Testing :

✿ Location : Insa-dong
✿ Price : 3,000 won | RM10.02 per pax
✿ Regular Tour : Weekday 9.30am - 6.30pm | Weekend 10am - 6pm

After that, we head to Bukchon Hanok Village.

Wanna to try this cafe because the dessert looks so tempting!!

Feeling impress on their decoration, so cute~ Spotted the cute Olaf and Simpson family

Even a simple Pizza cuisine, so creative.

They also selling some custom-made keychain

Fyi, Bukchon Hanok Village is a Korean traditional village with a long history located between Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeok Palace and Jongmyo Royal Shrine. Remember to wear comfortable shoes because the road was quite slippery.

Finally we are here! Check out the view!

Met a new friend there. =)

For more info,
Bukchon Hanok Village : zahttp://bukchon.seoul.go.kr/chi/index.jsp

These yakitori was quite popular at insa-dong too so you guys might need to give it a try.

At last, our dinner place

Bukchon Noodle - 6,000 won | RM20.04
Fried Dumpling - 3,500 won / 3pcs | RM11.69

While on the way to hostel, I bought a pair of ankle boots here. It was cost only 10,000 won | RM33.40 because they are clearing stocks. Woohoo~ Wanna purchase another pair but my size no more.

Bought something at the convenient store which just right beside our hostel

#HAULOFTHEDAY
Remember to STAY TUNED because the next blog post will be about my all time favourite Hello Kitty cafe! =D
