Johor Bahru Day Trip 柔佛一日游

Hola  I'm quite surprised my Ipoh Day Trip post has gone viral and it goes to the top list in my blog within a month. I felt so happy when I saw some of the Ipoh mali they shared with their friends. On the other, some friends from other state shared it and tagged their Ipoh friends so they can bring them to visit those places next time. This time, I will talk about Johor Bahru Day Trip. My boyfie are from Johor so before I don't really know more about Johor matter. I means I do passed by to Yong Peng, Johor when I take bus to Singapore so I guess I'm not familiar with Johor at all. Sometime I saw some Johor blogger blogged about beautiful cafe, delicious dessert which worth to try. Thus, boyfie spend a day with me for food hunting. Yes, this time the blog post will be more about foods compare to the Ipoh Day Trip.  =)

Last time I been to Johor Bahru for 1 day but end up boyfie bring me take a walk at the shopping mall that's why I keep complaining. This time he realize and he decided to bring me for cafe hunting in Johor Bahru. Thank you so much bae ♥ The photo above is the #SHINIOOTD. Black, white and navy blue works very well.

Ta-da! The first stop would be SEA & SAW. I'm glad boyfie bring me to the right place because this is the interior that I want to see. So glad I been here this time at least I can see something new in Johor Bahru.

From the founder and friends of Roost Cafe and Roost Repurposed & Recycled (RRR) in Johor Bahru comes SEA & SAW where wood and steel furniture crafting meets horticulture and cafe culture.

Born out of Sea Wong and business partner Kenny's initial collaboration in furniture upcycling and interior design for " UniqueXExpired" , "Fabric Hair Lab", "Bev C"and "Vigneto", the brand has evolved into the team of passionate makers and growers that it is today.

They labelled their bottle with their logo.

The menu.

Boyfie ordered a glass of Iced Latte (RM9.90) and I'm quite surprised the size is quite huge. This prove that the price is reasonable as well. Maybe I compare it with KL's market price because usually I been to cafes in KL they will charge us more than RM12 for 1 iced latte.

As a chocolate lover, I ordered a glass of Iced Mint Chocolate (RM9.90) for my own. I quite like their chocolate beverage because it doesn't taste so sweet and yet I can taste some mint inside(some cafe offer super sweet mint chocolate drink and I can't taste any mint inside).

We then ordered a Salmon Salad with Japanese sesame sauce as dressing (You may choose the sauce by your own). If I'm not mistaken this cost about RM16.90. It served with many kind of vegetables along with salmon and sesame sauce on top. I like this dish though.

Selfie with boyfie before we left.

What so special about SEA & SAW is beside of the interior inside, the environment at outside of the shop also very pretty. It's definitely the suitable place to have a friend gathering or birthday party  happening here.

Unfortunately I went there in a rainy day so you may noticed that floor are wet. I guess next time if I decided to pay a visit again I will choose a night time to see how was the view when we sitting at outside.

like how the put a big full mirror right beside the basin because after we wash our hands we can take a look on our full apparels. Some cafe they didn't provide full mirror or even no mirror make me not really preferable because sometime I need to make sure my outfits doesn't get dirty.

This is the view from the toilet. This kinda impressed me though. Love the interior of this restaurant. I will definitely visit here again.

Next up, we head to Roost Cafe which owned by the same boss of SEA & SAW as well. Boyfie decided to bring me here because he said the interior design here consider more into retro style and hope I will love it as well. As you can see, it's a corner shop and the outer design is quite outstanding among others shop which is the same row.

We need to order a downstairs before we head up. After we order and pay then we head to the upstairs. Boyfie was right, it was the 60s or 70s retro cafe and most of the furniture is like DIY recycle materials such as canned, woods and carton etc.

You may noticed even their lamps are unique too.

Heard boyfie said their frozen yogurt is one of their signature dish here so he ordered a Chocolate Frozen Yogurt which cost about RM10 if I'm not mistaken. The yogurt itself is sour taste so the mixed up with the sweetness of chocolate would be nice.

For me, I like something lighter, so I ordered Fruit Frzen Yogurt which served with different kinds of fruits such as kiwi, strawberry and blueberry. I'm a person who like sour taste a lot so I strongly recommend on this dish. Fresh fruits with frozen yogurt combination is just simply great. Thumb up for this!

We then ordered a dish(forgot the name) which the main ingredients was sausage. mash potatoes and mushroom. Boyfie and I was potato lover so we decided to give it a try. The taste not bad just I think the sausage was quite chewy for person who wearing braces like me. But overall is fine, I like the potato gravy the most.

Another cafe which worth for me to visit. And yes, I will definitely visit them next time if got chance. Their frozen yogurt is memorable and I'm still craving for it even while I'm blogging this post. LOL. Just a kind reminder, their staircase was quite deep though, so remember becareful if you're wearing high heels or pregnant women / old ladies passing though.  =)

Then, boyfie already date with his gang of buddies and we all head to Johor Bahru City Square for movie. It's strategically located in the heart of the city and only a stone’s throw from the customs and immigration checkpoint, Johor Bahru City Square stands out as a central landmark in JB.

With its more than 200 retailers, it offers a host of fashion, entertainment and restaurants. All catered to wow the senses and satisfy the needs. Heard boyfie said this mall consider the most happening mall compare to other shopping complex. I bought something at Watson and some accessories too.

However, before we meet them we decided to take our dinner here. The shop is called Summer and I remember it's located at opposite of Sakae Sushi. Thus, if next time you might want to give it a try you may look for Sakae Sushi then you will found it.  =)

This is the logo of its shop. I think is a potato? If you ask me further why there's a fire on his head I will say this is HOT potato! HAHAHAHA. Anyway, the reason we step in this shop is because I told boyfie I want to give it a try because I spot onigiri burger which is similar with the one I ate in Korea.

Boyfie ordered this and it served with a set. It includes mash potato, french fries and selection of drink (lemon tea or green tea). If I'm not mistaken, the price shall be below RM20 per set.

And this is mine. Overall not bad but I felt a little bit disappointing because the taste of onigiri burger doesn't even close to the one that I tried in Korea. Well, what do I expect~ Different country have different food culture maybe? This onigiri is slightly dry but the mash potato and french fries was fine.
