Hello, my fellow followers! How are you doing in Malaysia's MCO? I know how much you want to go outside but hang in there. Meanwhile, you may read about our birthday staycation at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur before MCO is happening.
My hubby birthday was on mid of May. Due to we can't dine in at any cuisine and interstate, we decided to choose staycation as a weekend getaway. Yes, the hotel is still operating during that period and we don't violate any SOP since we stay in the hotel room all day long. I need to clarify this first just in case people thought I'm a rule breaker. Lol
Grand Twin Towers View Suite
Ideal for both business and leisure travellers, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur presents 411 guestrooms and suites in the heart of the city, one of the largest hotel room size amongst Kuala Lumpur five-star luxury hotels.
The suite that I had booked was Grand Twin Towers View Suite. Luxurious 105 sq m suite overlooking Petronas Twin Towers fitted with one king bed, a living room and an elegant round-shaped marble bathtub. This is a premium suite.
Since my boss needs to do some work, he brings his laptop along. This table is great for him to done his work while he is watching the TV.
He said his favourite thing in the living room was this chair. It is so comfy and he said he will fall asleep by sitting on this chair alone. Hahaha. Well, it was one of my favourites too.
My other favourite would be the sofa in the room. I always want something like this in my room. Would it be great if I can lay here to watch some movie or play a mobile game before I go to bed? Unfortunately, my house is not big enough to fit in the sofa like this size in my bedroom.
The bedroom. Love the design and the comfy bed. Maybe we were too tired. Once we lied on the bed, we straightly go to sleep. Lol. Guess we need a staycation once in a while to relax our mentality and body stresses.
This view is everything. The main reason that I've booked this room is because of this KLCC twin tower view. It is so lovely, right? How can we miss this beautiful landmark of Kuala Lumpur. My foreign friends always showed me the photos that they took outside of KLCC. I don't really do that all my life until now. It's never too late right?
The bathtub is my bathroom goal. I used to had a bathtub in my house but my dad told me to remove it due to hygiene. Guess I should have one in the future.
Love the white marble. If I have a bigger bathroom, I will definitely choose white marble as the interior of it. Super elegant and I love it! Of course, two separate basins are a must.
For the toiletries, they are provided Balmain for all. I had no idea Balmain got release toiletries too. I thought they only have the fashion collection. Love the packaging as it is minimalist and match the bathroom interior.
They also have a walk-in wardrobe for you to hang your clothes and put your precious item in the safe. The section is just inside the huge bathroom.
There's also a coffee machine in the living room. Convenient to make yourself a cup of coffee if you want.
Since I've ordered the romance package, so the staff send in a bottle of champagne for us to celebrate. Just in time before we order our lunch. A few glasses of champagne and chill in the living room feel great.
Lunch at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur
Since we are not allowed to dine in at the restaurant, we had ordered room service for our lunch. First time ordering room service in Kuala Lumpur. I only tried that when I was overseas.
Oh ya! Since I had left a remark saying it's my husband's birthday, so they are kind enough a send us a small chocolate cake. It tastes delicious!
For lunch, we had ordered a penne carbonara and club sandwiches with french fries. They also serve as bread as a complimentary. It comes with salt & pepper, ketchup and mustard sauce. Well well, I guess the room service not bad huh.
Dinner at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur
After lunch, chilled at the bathtub, we ordered our dinner. Hubby had ordered a wagyu burger with french fries while I had ordered a mushroom fettuccine carbonara and mash potatoes. The mash potatoes portion is huge! I thought it will be serving in a small bowl but I guess I'm a fan because I had finished it all by myself.
Hubby's Birthday Celebration
After finished our dinner, we decided to celebrate my hubby's birthday in our bedroom. We bring our ah zai (the cookies monster) along too so he can get into our family photo. Teehee.
Breakfast at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur
Now, who wants breakfast like this? I always love breakfast in bed but not in my own house due to the hygiene issue. Lol. Luckily I can do that when I'm on staycation! With the breakfast view like this, I'm happy to finish all the breakfast with the champagne too.
For our breakfast, we had ordered the dim sum, big breakfast, smoked salmon, egg benedict, oatmeal and loaves of bread as complimentary. This breakfast is included in the package. We are supposed to dine in Thirty8 restaurant but due to the SOP, we just take the room service. After all, room service is better right? Where there's only two of us.
Overall, this is one of my best staycations so far. Although I don't really do a staycation in local so much because whenever I got free time, I will be at overseas. Lol. However, I will definitely revisit this hotel. That's all for today. XOXO.
