Chanshuo Slowly Sunset Glamping

CHANSHUO SLOWLY SUNSET GLAMPING
Glamping has been a popular trend for some time now, but as someone who has concerns about mosquitoes, hygiene, and environmental safety, I have always hesitated to try it. However, during my recent trip to Taiwan, I had the opportunity to visit Chanshuo Slowly Sunset (蟬說:夕陽漫漫), and the entire experience turned out to be quite intriguing. If you're curious to learn more about it, keep reading!

First of all, what is glamping though? Glamping is a term that combines the words "glamorous" and "camping". It refers to a style of camping that focuses on more luxurious and comfortable accommodations and amenities than traditional camping. Glamping aims to provide the experience of being in nature while also offering the comfort and convenience of a hotel or resort.

In glamping, instead of sleeping in a basic tent and using basic camping equipment, you typically stay in accommodations such as safari tents, yurts, treehouses, cabins, or luxury camping trailers (known as "glampervans"). These accommodations are often equipped with comfortable beds, cosy furniture, electricity, and sometimes even amenities like private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and air conditioning.

Glamping destinations often provide various amenities and services to enhance the experience, such as gourmet meals, spa treatments, outdoor activities, and guided tours. The locations for glamping can range from scenic natural settings like forests, mountains, and beaches to unique places like vineyards or wildlife reserves.

Through their "Slowly Sunset" experience, they aim to instil a sense of wetland conservation in their visitors, emphasizing the importance of preserving this precious ecosystem. By creating a meaningful and educational tourism experience, they hope to raise awareness and encourage responsible travel practices among their guests.

I always prioritise the comfort of my accommodations, which is why I had never tried glamping before. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the tent during my glamping experience. The interior of the tent resembled a hotel room with its comfortable beds, table lamp, tissue box, towels, sofa, air conditioning, and even folding chairs. Needless to say, we had a wonderful night's sleep.

As mentioned previously, my primary concern revolves around matters of hygiene. I find it noteworthy that their restroom possesses substantial dimensions and maintains a commendable level of cleanliness. Additionally, they generously offer body shampoo, hair shampoo, and a hair dryer, rendering the overall experience exceedingly convenient.

The outside view of the tent is something we truly enjoy. With a few folding chairs conveniently placed inside, we can easily bring them outside and relax. It's the perfect spot to unwind with friends and family, especially if you have a beer or some snacks to enjoy.

Don't miss the chance to capture a photo of this adorable "onion" shaped tent, as it's absolutely Instagram-worthy! Make sure to snap a picture before you depart from this location.
