Taipei Marriott Hotel, Taiwan

TAIPEI MARRIOTT HOTEL
Hello guys! I'm finally revisiting Taiwan after 10 years. I want to revisit Taiwan in the past few years but always got plans for other countries so I'm excited for this trip. I also brought my mom to Taiwan as well. She is happy because this is her first time in Taiwan. Today's post is about our lovely stay at Taipei Marriott Hotel. Continue reading to know more about our experience here.

About Taipei Marriott Hotel
Combining Marriott Hotel's design and innovation with local Taiwanese warmth and hospitality, the Taipei Marriott Hotel is the first five-star international hotel in the dynamic Dazhi area of Taipei, the capital's new commercial hub. The largest integrated destination complex in Taiwan, the Taipei Marriott offers 506 luxury rooms, a modern convention centre, a high-end shopping mall and luxury apartments.

As a part of Marriott's "Green Hotel Development" initiative, indigenous shrubbery and flowering plants can be found throughout the grounds interspersed with pieces of art and sitting areas. Inspired by the nearby butterfly biosphere reserve on Mt.Jiannan, an aluminium sculpture named "Butterflies" created by Spanish artist Manolo Valdes, sits in the centre of the landscape to serve as a tribute to nature and the arts.

The Taipei Marriott Hotel is a stylish new landmark destination. It brings never-before-seen features and experiences that are sure to delight guests, including the largest hotel ballroom in Taipei and a rooftop garden and chapel. Its lush green landscape surroundings offer an oasis to travellers who seek escape after a long day in bustling Taipei.

This hotel is basically like an art hotel. There are so many marvellous artworks here and all are impressive. Just like this art called The Left Wing Project by Alfredo and Isabel Aquilizan. It was curated using tons of knives. To show the strength and sharpness of the wing.

If you are an art lover, make sure to have a look at these artworks during your stay.

We also found a piece of art by the popular artist - Zaha Hadid. For your info, Dame Zaha Mohammad Hadid DRE RA was an Iraqi-British architect, artist and designer, recognised as a major figure in architecture of the late-20th and early-21st centuries.

Zaha Hadid was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2012, and in February 2016, she received the Royal Gold Medal.

Our Room
Yes, this is the view of our Taipei 101 invincible view skyline room. 506 rooms are decorated with a warm earth colour scheme as the base, with a simple and fashionable design style. The large floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow natural sunlight to pour in, allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the view of the Taipei metropolitan area from the comfort of their room. The simple and sharp lines have been refined to present a stylish atmosphere and the true beauty of the room space design. You can also enjoy the views of Taipei's famous landmarks such as Taipei 101 and Miramar Ferris Wheel. We even saw an aeroplane taking off and landing!

Once we enter our room, we saw a cute dessert tray and a bottle of champagne. Of course, we have to pop it out and enjoy our dessert.

The room is very comfy. Cute bathtub, a comfy bed, comes with all the toiletries. We have a lovely stay here.

Restaurants
There is a total of 6 restaurants in the Taipei Marriott Hotel.

Garden Kitchen
Garden Kitchen serves locally inspired Western fare, giving you the freedom to choose from made-to-order entrees, Italian cuisine, hot appetizers, soups and more.

This is also my breakfast place. I was arranged to sit in a corner where I can enjoy the beautiful garden view. Don't forget to try traditional Taiwan food such as salted soy milk and many more.

Spa | SKY19

Situated on the 19th floor of the Taipei Marriott Hotel, SKY19 Spa is positioned as a sky oasis, a haven of peace and quiet to escape from the urban hustle and bustle.

They provide treatments and amenities such as body scrubs, couple's massages, eye treatments, facials and massages.

They are currently using a skincare brand called Neom. All products are made in Britain from ethically sourced, sustainable origins, using only natural and organic ingredients, no petrochemical paraffin or mineral waxes, no artificial perfumes, only pure essential oils and no harsh preservatives.

The staff explained to me they provide scented candles to help customers relax their bodies (and mentally), after finishing the treatment, customers can use the remaining essential oils on the top part and apply them to their bodies. Furthermore, they can bring the candles back for their own use as well.

Business hours

Swimming Pool
How can you miss the rooftop pool right? It is facing the Ferris wheel. There are a few chairs and a comfy sofa in the corner, so you can just chill here.

The fitness centre is operating 24 hours, so feel free to gym whenever you want. (I didn't take any photos because there are some tenants are working out. Don't want to interrupt them)
