ABOUT NEON COUNTDOWN 2017

The 3rd edition of Neon Countdown 2017 will once again usher in the New Year in style with international and regional DJs this 31st December at Sunway Lagoon, Sunway City. This one-night-only event boasts one of the world’s hottest DJs, KSHMR, as well as DJs Dimatik, Chukiess & Whackboi, Ramsey Westwood, ANRK, SICX and more.

A variety of music genres amplifying love, music and experience will be played, leaving all music lovers satisfied. The Neon Countdown has received praises from DJs such as Quintino and Head Hunterz, who ranked its crowd as one of the best for which they have ever entertained. It is not every day that world-renowned DJs perform at a countdown event held at a popular theme park!

The 3rd edition of the Neon Countdown is bound to be even better than its previous editions and you can expect a memorable night with back-to-back performances by Malaysian artists, as well as main acts from the USA and Australia. This year, the Neon Countdown will showcase a 10-minute New Year extravaganza complete with fireworks, pyrotechnics, music and special lighting effects like no other, promising you a night to remember.

In conjunction with Sunway Lagoon’s 25th Anniversary, Neon Countdown will also feature a beautifully put-together full-length outdoor stage, with jubilant revellers’ partying amid an endless ocean of neon colours. Get creative with the free neon paint and party kit that comes with every ticket, and express your personality with some eye-catching body art, LED glasses and glowing face masks.

PARTY KIT

AirAsia team sent me a box full with LED glasses, invitation and VIP tickets! I always play around the LED glasses during photo booth but can't believe I'm actually owning one now. Lol

Actually I got no planning for the New Year Eve celebration at all. Special thanks to AirAsia for making my last day of 2017 AWESOME! I always attend rave party with my friends but this time, finally I got the opportunity to attend with my boyfie! And I can't wait.

KSHMR

Actually among all the DJ for this party, KSHMR is the only DJ that I want see him live. I have been listening to his music since last year and my favourite was Bazaar and Secret. Heralded by DJ Magazine as the ‘Prince of Cinematica’ American born, Kashmiri-Indian descent, KSHMR (as in Kashmir) was raised making periodic family trips to his father’s homeland. Though, it wasn’t until KSHMR began seeking inspiration for his own musical productions that he realized the significance of his upbringing. KSHMR exploded onto the scene with his first release, “Megalodon.” Since then, his Beatport releases “Burn,” “Secrets,” “Karate,” “Memories,” “Heaven,” “Strong” and “Bazaar” have all peaked at #1 overall and quickly garnered him a rapidly growing fan base. In 2016, KSHMR was awarded DJ Mag’s prestigious accolade of Best New Live Act, climbed to number 12 on their Top 100 DJ list and graced the cover of the March issue.

He followed suit this year with a non-mover position on the DJ Mag, Top 100 chart, and was awarded Best Audio-Visual Act of 2017. 2017 has been a monumental year for KSHMR, he took his incredible KSHMR LIVE show to the ULTRA stages in Miami, Korea, Singapore, Japan and most recently Mexico. Incorporating an orchestra, mesmerizing Bollywood dancers, and an animated story narrative that is weaved between into his musical set. KSHMR brought to life his original productions and people are still talking about it!

KSHMR’s latest endeavor is the start of his own record label Dharma. A platform to showcase the best global talent in the world of dance music. The first release on Dharma is his EP Materia, featuring collaborations with the likes of Snails, Maurice West, JDG and No Mondays. KSHMR dropped huge music releases this year, including Harder his collaboration with Tiesto and Power with Hardwell, and the touring doesn’t stop!
