Breakfast Thieves @ Bangsar

BREAKFAST THIEVES @ BANGSAR
It's time for #SHINIxFOOD post! It's been awhile since I blog about food post. Actually I had visited a lot of cuisines and cafes but I haven't blog about them yet. Guess I should do so to keep you guys hungry and craving for it while you're reading my blog. So, today I'm gonna talk about Breakfast Thieves. One of the popular cuisine in Bangsar.

Breakfast Thieves @ Bangsar
(Breakfast Thieves @ Bangsar)
For your info, Breakfast Thieves Kuala Lumpur is the twin sister of the original Breakfast Thieves neighbourhood cafe which is housed in the remains of an old chocolate factory in Fitzroy Melbourne, Australia. It is often listed as one of the top 5 cafes in Melbourne, Breakfast Thieves has made a nam for itself since being founded in 2012.

Now, Breakfast Thieves is in KL! Patrons can expect to be whisked away by modern Australian cuisine with a touch of Asian influence. The open space provides a nice relaxing environment for everyone, where friends chat over brunch, business lunches are conducted, families gather and coffee enthusiast get their daily fix.

We visit during weekend and by the time we reached, we saw a lot of customers are queuing outside of the cuisine. We queue for nearly 20 minutes only able to get our table. So a little suggestion, if you don't want to queue and wait, make sure you pay a visit during weekdays.

Iced Mocha

Iced Chocolate
(Iced Chocolate)
My first visit was with my bestie Sylvia. She ordered an Iced Mocha and I ordered an Iced Chocolate. So far I think these beverages are fine. I love the fact that their chocolate is not too sweet because if I taste a super sweet chocolate drink I will feel very thirsty.

The Legend
(The Legend)
Slyvia ordered The Legend. We saw many customers ordered this so this dish looks promising. It is actually spicy baked eggs with beef salami, okra, button mushroom, sweet corn, feta cheese with side of herbed garlic toast.

When it was served, the colour really beautiful. I love when I saw different colour of foods come together. It makes me happy. Although they mentioned spicy on their menu, but Sylvia said it was not spicy at all. Thus, no worries if you're not a spicy person like me.

Gypsy King
(Gypsy King)
For me, I prefer something fancy so I ordered Gypsy King. It was served crisp garlic rosemary polenta bars with beetroot and citrus cured salmon trout, cauliflower and parmesan puree, roasted mushroom, charred onion and poached eggs.

When it was served I was like okay, this dish looks quite beautiful but I don't know where to start. I love the crisp garlic rosemary polenta bars with beetroot and cauliflower and parmesan puree a lot! They didn't disappoint me. All the elements here are my favourites.

To make sure the poach egg is perfect so I cut it and take picture for you guys to have a look. If you not an egg yolk (liquid form) person you can eat it with the citrus sauce.

Tiny Temptress Dessert
(Dessert)
For the second visit, we (Angeline, Yuh Jiun and me) ordered a chocolate dessert. Surprisingly we saw the dessert was comes with Tiny Temptress tag. We all knew it is one of the popular dessert shop located in Sri Petaling. The bear chocolate mousse taste not bad.

I guess you guys recognise this place right? It is one of the popular place for ootd shooting on Instagram. Since this is my first visit, of course I need to take some photos here.
