Le Cafe V | Louis Vuitton Cafe in Ginza, Tokyo
I have always wanted to visit this café ever since it opened in 2021, and I’m thrilled that I finally got the chance during my 2022 trip to Japan (reminiscing about it now, haha). Let me introduce you to Le Café V, a Louis Vuitton café located in Ginza, Tokyo. Keep reading to learn more about my dining experience, and don’t forget to watch the video at the end!

About Le Cafe V
Le Cafe V

Opened in March 2021. You will find Le Cafe V inside the stunning seven-storey Louis Vuitton flagship store in the Ginza Namiki Building. The Tokyo branch of Le Cafe V is the world's second Louis Vuitton cafe on the shop's 7th floor.

Designed by renowned architects Jun Aoki and Peter Marino, the stunning exterior is covered in rippling mirrored glass that reflects iridescent colours.

I love the bar's sophisticated yet simple setting, especially how the glasses are elegantly displayed along the wall's edge.

The Louis Vuitton Bell Lamp by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby is adorable. I hope to own one for my living room someday.

The Dining Experience

The menu is crafted by Yosuke Suga from Tokyo's Sugalabo, a French restaurant led by longtime Robuchon protégé Yosuke Suga, offering a true haute cuisine experience. I can't wait to try their food!

Mikan juice

For my beverage, I ordered mikan juice, a type of mandarin orange with a bittersweet aftertaste that I quite enjoyed. It was also served with two butter cookies.

Raviolis de Foie gras et Herbes fraiches
Bouillon aux Legumes d'Automne, Raviolis de Foie gras et Herbes fraiches | 2,400 yen

While most customers come here for desserts, I was eager to try their savoury dishes as well. Seeing ravioli and foie gras on the menu, I knew I had to order it—and it did not disappoint! The broth's aroma was delightful, and the flavours were surprisingly well-balanced. It seems their savoury offerings are just as impressive as their desserts!

Figues confintes au vin rouge

Choosing a dessert was tough since they all looked so appetizing! But since I was visiting alone, I could only pick one—I wouldn’t be able to finish more. The vanilla ice cream was silky smooth with a wonderful fragrance. It was also my first time trying figs, and to my surprise, they tasted pretty good!

Thus far, I'm pleasantly surprised by the food's taste. Initially, I assumed it was merely a posh cafe catering to photo-taking customers. However, the food exceeded my expectations. I particularly enjoyed the ravioli and dessert, and I would certainly return given the chance.
