Souvenirs You Can Buy in Taiwan

SOUVENIRS YOU CAN BUY IN TAIWAN
Finally, here's the last post from my Taiwan trip in 2023. I understand there's a lot of information to take in (all #ShiniInTaiwan posts), but please bear with me. Today's post is all about some recommended souvenirs to buy in Taiwan, and they are all food-related! Hahaha.

Master Zeng (曾師傅)

Hailing from Hualien County, Master Zeng comes from a region renowned for its mochi. The art of crafting handmade mochi was passed down by the Japanese, and the construction process demands meticulous attention to every detail. Drawing upon the traditional mochi flavours, Master Zeng ingeniously creates a delightful new taste that is remarkably elastic, chewy, subtly sweet, and non-greasy.

Come Eat Cake (来吃饼)
Highly recommended as souvenirs from Hualien. It contains the rich cheddar cheese Q-bomb handmade mochi. These delectable treats boast a crispy texture, and a generous 6-inch size, and strike the perfect balance between sweetness and greasiness. Indulging in these handmade desserts is well worth the wait!

In my perspective, it resembles a large mooncake. Though it may appear small in the photo, in reality, it is quite sizeable. With each bite, you can savour the delightful combination of cheddar cheese and mochi filling.

Tang Ding (糖鼎)

Tang Ding uses locally grown sugar cane from Taiwan as the core ingredient and refrains from adding any sweeteners or artificial flavours in the production process.

Introducing a selection of delightful beverages:
- A non-spicy and velvety brown sugar ginger tea.
- A soothing and nourishing Longan red date tea.
- A vision-boosting rock sugar chrysanthemum tea.

One of my personal favourites is the non-spicy and smooth brown sugar ginger tea. I have a fondness for ginger tea, especially during my menstrual period, as it provides great comfort to my stomach. Among all the ginger tea varieties, Taiwanese ginger tea holds a special place in my heart because it offers a perfect balance of ginger's invigorating properties without being overly spicy.

Another favourite would be the vision-boosting rock-sugar chrysanthemum tea. The blend consists of rock sugar, chrysanthemum, and honey. The fresh chrysanthemum is carefully boiled, and then the golden pure honey is infused to enhance the sweet aroma of the chrysanthemum. This results in a refreshing and thirst-quenching beverage that aids in promoting restful sleep.

It's not just for drinks, you can use it on food as well. Visit their website for recipes : https://www.gingertw.com/. You can also purchase this product at cosmetic stores like Poya and Cosmed.

(仁者無敵 综合米果)

Individually packaged for convenient sharing anytime, this delightful combination is crafted to perfection. Japanese rice crackers, Taiwan's No.9 peanuts, and a mix of crab roe and broad beans come together to create an unparalleled taste sensation. With its crisp and delicious texture, diverse flavours, and non-greasy nature, it pairs excellently with tea, providing a delightful and satisfying experience.

Honestly, my husband and I are quite fond of this snack. It comprises 7 different types of tidbits, and we enjoy indulging in all of them.

You can find this product available for purchase at PX Mart in Taiwan!
