Bonjour! This is my fourth time tasting French foods. Rendez-vous is a traditional French restaurant which located at Bangsar. Before I pay a visit, I done some research and I found there are plenty of great reviews about this restaurant. I'm so excited and I can't wait to give it a try.
When I talk about French cuisine, you might be think it might be difficult find a French cuisine with low price. Not anymore. At Rendez-vous, they provide a wide selection of French meals with affordable price range. Thus, continue reading to find out more.
The concept of Rendez-vous is not only to make authentic French cuisine affordable but to offer a laid-back ambience in which to truly relax and enjoy great food and drinks with family and friends. The chef Florian Nigen's family has run a well-known restaurant in Bretagne in France for 30 years. He puts all his knowledge and heart into preparing a wide selection of typical French meaty and seafood dishes along with delicious French desserts to excited everyone's taste buds.
The environment and interior here is so cozy and suitable for any occasion. It also a great place to dine for couples, family and friends. I will definitely brings my family here next round.

Soupe de poissons (RM24) |
For the starter, we have Soupe de possions. It is a fish soup served in front of you, with Rouille sauce and confit vegetables tartare. I love how the dish is served warm. The fish soup taste very good and the cherry tomato is sweet.
For French cuisine, they very specific for the wine. Each different meal should pair with different types of wine. For the starter, our wine paring is Sauvignon Blanc.

Oeuf Parfait et gnocchi (RM22) |
Our second starter is Oeuf Parfait et gnocchi. This is one of our (me and my partner) favourite dish. It served with half cooked eggs with Parisian style gnocchi and cheese. You can taste the pasta which so crispy and delicious. Strongly recommend for you all.

For the second starter, what we have here for the wine paring is Cotes du Rhone (Bonpas). I love this wine as its taste a little sweet.

Finally here comes for the main course. Our main course is Filet de loup de mer which another favourite of mine. It served with Seabass filet, creamy carrot puree and avruga caviar, citrus vinaigrette.

Love this dish a lot! It taste good and fresh. Everything will taste good as long as match with seabass and caviar! My partner love this dish as well.

Wine Paring - Chardonnay (Golden kaan) |
For the wine paring is Chardonnay (Golden kaan). My partner love the taste of this wine. It's my first time to taste the wine from South Africa and it taste fine.

Poulet facon cocotte (RM36) |
Our another main course is Poulet façon cocotte. Basically it is stuffed chicken, French mash potato and served with creamy mushroom. I love how they use chicken breast as it is the healthiest part of the chicken. Love the mash potato and creamy mushroom.

- DESSERT
Last but not least, dessert part is the one that I'm excited for. I always love French dessert as they always look and taste great! What we have here is Tarte au citron meringue which is one of my favourite dessert. It's a lemon tart with hard and soft meringue. I love how they put the citrus flavour inside the soft meringue.

Anothe dessert is my partner exciting for - Delice au chocolat et caramel. Who doesn't love chocolate dessert right? It is a sinful chocolate and caramel dessert. You need to break the caramel (top part) before you start eating it. The center part is like chocolate mousse. Love it!

Wine Paring - Prosecco (Bacio Della Luna) |
The wine paring for the dessert is Prosecco (Bacio Della Luna). It is a sparking wine which served in a cute and elegant sparkling wine glass. It taste fresh and dry because the wine is "extra dry". A dry wine is simply a wine that has no residual sugar, meaning it isn’t sweet. Perfect match for the sweet dessert.
