Double S Date | New Chapter by The Owls Cafe

Bonjour! It's a waffle day! Today I'm introducing a restaurant that specialize in waffles. If you're a waffle fans then you should miss this. In case you didn't noticed, I blogged about The Owls Cafe  before (please refer HERE). However, the cafe only focus on the waffles and I never try their main course before. Now, they opened a new branch called New Chapter by The Owls Cafe. I'm not sure whether is the same owner but you definitely need to pay a visit.

Now you must be wondering why the title called 'Double S Date'. It's because I have a date with my best friends since 8 years ago. Her name is Sylvia and my name is Shini. There you go for the double S. Although both of us don't frequently met each other, but deep down in our heart we know the existent of each other.

Also I just dye my hair into Dark Brown shade. Hope you guys will love it like I do. The main reason I had chosen this colour is because my hair looks healthier. LOL

New Chapter by The Owls Cafe

Here we go! Me and my dear love waffles a lot! So we had chosen this place for our date. This cafe is even larger than the previous one I blogged. It can compound for more customers but we still need to queue. We visit it on weekend, so I guess if you pay a visit on weekday will be less crowd?

If I'm not mistaken, they changed their logo because the another branch that I visited was different logo. Maybe they want to have different owls for different branch.

I was so happy and excited at the same time when I'm looking at the menu. We have no idea what to order because most of them sounds delicious. Guess they have been improving a lot for the main course because last time all I had seen are waffles.

Peach Green Sencha | RM8

Our drink is here! Sylvia ordered a cup of Peach Green Sencha tea. She said it taste fine. We love the owl cup because it's so cute. Please noted that the price for Cup is RM8 and Pot is RM12.

Ravishing Rose Petals | RM12

Here's mine with the white owl series! I ordered Ravishing Rose Petals tea and it taste exactly like rose! Frankly, I quite love the tea. Since I ordered a pot so it comes with two cup and it can be refill.

English Muffin | RM16

Here comes with our main course. Slyvia with her English Style Muffin. It served with egg mayonnaise and semi sun-dried tomatoes with mix green salad and buttered parsley potatoes on side.

The egg mayonnaise was taste quite unique because it's not those mayonnaise that you can taste normally. The potatoes was well seasoning.

Salmon Mentaiko Egg Benedict | RM25

I ordered a Salmon Mentaiko Egg Benedict. It served with toasted English muffin, wild rockets, smoked salmon with mentaiko hollandaise sauce.

It taste yummy and I love it! The hollandaise sauce taste quite unique, the salmon and poach egg are delicious as well. I love how they put some seeds and add some colour on that dish.

And finally, here's comes the Queen of dessert - Rebecca Waffles. It filled with strawberries, blueberries and bananas, topped with homemade Earl Grey ice cream which well-blended with the almond flakes, coconut flakes and maple syrup.

I must say we love it! Although it is a signature but last time I don't have a chance to taste it because I order the Milo Dinosaur instead. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft inside. The Earl Grey ice cream is a pop! This is our very first time to taste the ice cream and we love it to the max! Me and Sylvia still craving for it even after we finished it. Both of us think that if the waffles without coconut flakes will be perfect! The waffles taste not too sweet because the blueberries and strawberries has balances the sweetness.

Beside of the foods, you can check out their merchandise such as coffee maker and some owls design cup as well. You might grab some of your favourites.
