MINI THAILAND WEEK 2017 @ 1 UTAMA
Mini Thailand Week 2017 is back to Malaysian shores for the 9th year running, aiming to impress and delight visitors with an exciting array of premier Thai products and cultural activities! Launched in 2009, Mini Thailand Week is organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion under the Ministry of Commerce, Thailand. 

It is a highly anticipated annual exhibition, serving primarily as a trading platform for Malaysian and Thai entrepreneurs to interact, transact, as well as forge new partnerships and collaborations. Since its initiation, Mini Thailand Week has attracted tens of thousands of visitors to its booths each year; facilitating numerous business leads and sales, whilst increasing awareness and appreciation of Thailand's rich culture and tradition amongst Malaysian.

Do you know last year alone, Mini Thailand Week has attracted about 20,000 people to the event? This year, they aim to surpass those figures to attract about 25,000 people to Mini Thailand Week, and generate at least 100 business matching transactions in their signature Business Matching Sessions.

Director Patcha Wutipan, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) Royal Thai Embassy said, "To achieve this, we have added to this year's list of exhibitors specifically selected Thai companies with products that fulfil certain standards and requirements by our partners in Malaysia. Amongst others, this includes F&B items that has halal certification, which will enable these business to reach a wider group of consumers."

This year, their theme is "Urban Lifestyle", all 28 participating companies at Mini Thailand Week 2017 will showcase a wide range of Thai premier lifestyle products, which includes home ware and home decorative items, food and beverage products, as well as health and wellness items. This is my first time to attend Mini Thailand Week and I'm excited!

These stools are super cute! They have Mickey & Minnie, Hello Kitty and even Queen Elsa design!

At perfume station - Fleuroma, they have varieties of fragrance such as Black Raspberry Vanilla, Peppermint Tea Tree, Leelawadee, Lemongrass & Lime, Cucumber Melon, Lemon Ginger, Eucalyptus and Lotus.

Beside of perfumes, they also selling some soap. There are different functions such as moisturising, brightening and so on.


A wooden art board painting demonstration by Tanupon En-On, a Thai artist renowned for his mastery of the E-Sarn murals technique in vibrant acrylic colours on canvas paintings.

Interested visitors could purchase a blank wooden board for RM20, where they will receive guidance from the artist himself on how to paint using the technique. Those who post a picture of their finished artwork on the Mini Thailand Facebook page with the hashtag #minithailandweek2017 will receive a special gift from the organiser.

And there are some beverages which claim you will lose weight and brighten your skin after you drink it.

We taste this Tom Yum Jumbo Pop Corn Chicken and it is so delicious! The taste of Tom Yum outshine and the pop corn chicken is tender.

Last but not least, how can you missed their popular Cha Yen (Thai Tea). I always drink it whenever I'm in Thailand. 

Mini Thailand Week 2017 take placed from 6-9 July 2017 at One Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya from 10am to 10pm. Admission is free for all members of the public. If you missed this event, then you might need to wait for Mini Thailand Week 2018.
