I NEED TO GET RID OF ACNE PROBLEM! Sounds familiar to you? Try this Tea Tree series from Meditree and you will feel amazed! Few days back I tried one of their products and shared on my Instagram story. Some readers DM me asking me to do a review so they can know more details about it. Well, here you go! Make sure you try the whole range of this series to maximise the result.

For your info, the name Meditree was derived from the term "medicinal tree" and in each product an Australia plant or tree has been selected for its well known healing properties. Tea Tree is a natural anti-bacterial known for its purity. With a long history of usage by aboriginals in Australia and many recent studies into its safety and efficacy it remains highly regarded around the world. Since people who having acne problem are consider sensitive skin, they need to choose wisely for the products they use.

In case you don't know, Tea Tree also known as "Melaleuca Alternifolia". It is a native tree to the north coast of New South Wales, it grows along streams and on swampy flats. A topical antibacterial used in a range of acne preparations, antiseptics, deodorants, shampoos, soaps, and lotions.

The Meditree Tea Tree Range includes Tea Tree Facial Cleanser, Tea Tree Hydrator, Tea Tree Acne Gel, Tea Tree Face Scrub & Mask and Tea Tree Oil.

Tea Tree Facial Cleanser (100g)
First up is the cleanser. Ideal for oily, combination and acne prone skin, this gel type cleanser combines with Tea Tree, Aloe Vera and Willow Bark extract to gently purify and provide antibacterial properties to the skin. While Tea Tree and Aloe Vera is known for their soothing properties, the Willow Bark extract provides the highest natural form of Salicylic Acid and it gently eliminates bacteria that causes acne and other form of skin irritations.

To top it off, this Tea Tree Facial Cleanser is also infused with Decly Glucoside made from glucose, extracted from corn to help provide exceptional cleansing and foaming properties to the skin.

How to use : Moisten skin and gently massage all over your face and neck. Rinse with warm water. Use morning and night.

Verdict : Surprisingly it is a gel type. I thought it would be cream type but no. Since it is gel type so the foam will be lesser. My face feel so fresh after cleanse.

( Tea Tree Face Scrub & Mask )

This is a gentle, creamy face scrub & mask that is infused with fine grains of Tea Tree Leaf and Lychee which gently polish away dead skin cells and impurities. At the same time, it also helps stimulate circulation to reveal a smoother and brighter skin. The Tree Face Scrub & Mask is formulated with the following ingredients and properties :-

  • Tea Tree Leaves & Lychee Shell - serve as natural exfoliants that gently loosen and remove dead skin cells without irritation.
  • Kaolin Clay - Absorbs excess oil and removes impurities for improved skin texture and colour.
  • Licorice Extract - Contains ani-inflammatory which helps bring clarity back to skin complexion.

How to use : Apply to clean and moist skin. Massage gently all over face and neck. For mask, apply and leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing off well. Use morning or night, 1-2 times weekly. Suitable for normal, dry, oil and / or combination skin type.

Verdict : This is my favourite product among all! This is the one that I shared on my Instagram story. You can use it as scrub or mask as you wish but I prefer to use it as mask. Used it for few times and my skin turn very smooth! Strongly recommended but just remember massage gently ya.

( Tea Tree Oil )
Tea Tree Oil (10ml)
A 100% pure, natural antibacterial essential oil steam. The Meditree Tea Tree Oil is ideal for insect bites, stings, cuts and abrasions. Extracted and distilled from the Australian native Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree plant), the tea tree oil is known for its soothing and antibacterial properties. It not only helps kill germs, but also aids in reducing acne and cell growth.

Sensitive skin users can keep their worries at bay as this anti-fungal and antibacterial tea tree oil has an extremely low potential for skin irritation and sensitisation.

How to use : Apply 1-2 drops on affected area. Discontinue using if irritation develops. For external use only.

Verdict : The texture is actually lighter than I expected! So from the photo shown above you might can't see anything of it. I tried to pour it on my hand and take photo but failed. It is so light and easily dissolve into our skin. The fragrance is quite strong and I love it! You can add it into your lotion as well. It is great for those skin type which always got bitten by the mosquito.

( Tea Tree Acne Gel )
Tea Tree Acne Gel (15g)
This antibacterial gel targets acne and blemishes on skin. Both the calming and purifying properties of Tea Tree Oil and Willow Bark Extract infused in this gel helps to cleanse and improve acne prone skin.

The Meditree Tea Tree Acne Gel also contains Tocopherol - a type of Vitamin E that acts as a natural skin conditioning agent and antioxidant to help slow down the degeneration of skin cells and at the same time promotes cellular renewal and skin elasticity.

How to use : Apply a small amount to affected area. Use 1-2 times daily when required.

Verdict : An acne gel is always the best product to cure acne! Although I'm not an acne skin type person but sometime I got an acne on my face after my period came. Acne gel always is the recommend skin care to apply.

( Tea Tree Hydrator )
Tea Tree Hydrator (50g)
The Tea Tree Hydrator is specifically formulated with Tea Tree Oil, Willow Bark Extract and Chamomile Extract to help replenish and hydrate oily, combination and acne prone skin without increasing oiliness on skin surface. Known for its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, the tea tree oil also acts as an antiseptic, antibiotic, insecticidal and a stimulant to improve skin and generate cell growth.

While the Willow Bark extract eliminates bacteria on skin surface to prevent acne and other skin irritations, the Chamomile Extract on the other hand contains anti-inflammatory properties to aid in soothing skin complexion.

Verdict : I love its texture because it is lighter than the ordinary moisturiser. As you know for acne problem person, very creamy type of skin care don't suitable for their skin type. A lighter texture definitely will moisturise their skin well.

Well, you might don't notice huge different from the before and after photo because I'm not acne skin type. However, Meditree Tea Tree Range is suitable for any skin type, not just for acne skin type. If you're having sensitive skin, you can use it as well. I feel my skin turn so smooth and fresh after tried this range.

Of course, if you ask me, I will say my favourite product of the day is the scrub and mask! It is not just for the face, you can apply on your back if you got acne problem on your back too.
