KOREA Trip Day 4 (韩国之旅)

Annyeong~ Finally I came back from Japan and Korea Sorry for not updating my blog for more than 1 week! Been so busy once I touched down Malaysia because I have many pending projects and emails need to be reply. Oh well~ Guess I should back on track and continue to hard work for the next trip then. Teehee~ 😁

So back to the topic, we only take cup noodles as our breakfast today at our hostel. Today is a Skiing Day!! Yeah~ This would be my very first time to ski so of course I'm so excited about that! We took the package by our hostel which is cost about 85,000 won (RM286+) included transportation pick ups, all the equipments, clothing and ski board. I guess if you didn't take the package maybe will be cheaper?

So here we reached @ Jisan Forest ResortThe Jisan Forest Resort is enfolded in a beautiful pine forest. Only 40 minutes from Seoul, it is great for nighttime skiing. It has a conveyor belt for total beginners, a special avec course for couples, and many more. All slopes are open to snowboarders, and the ski slope reserved for ski lessons has a mild slope of 3 degrees. Icheon Pottery Village, Icheon SpaPlus, and the grand theme park Everland are all located less than half an hour away.

They're having Hello Kitty snowboards!

I purposely choose a pink outfits because it was my favourite colour.

The apparels, ski shoes and hand gloves are all included in the package but not with the ski goggles. You may rent it for 10,000 won (RM33+) in the shop. The purpose of it is to prevent the reflection of the snow / ice when you ski. If you can't see clearly because of the bright sunlight or the reflection of the ice may caused you accident during you skiing.

Everyone busy changing

Here I am for the snow~ It's been awhile, the last time I've seen the snow was 2 years ago.
After the ski lesson with our coach - Mark, finally I learnt how to ski. Trust me, I'm not a good skier.

You may put your snowboard and ski board over here.

After the ski session, Samantha and me decided to take our lunch because we are starving! Since both of us are not good skiers so we struggle and move a lot when we ski! I guess that's the main reason why both of us are hungry after that. LOL

This is for Samantha

And the Orange Chiken Chop for me. This is delicious! First try on the orange sauce!

After you finished the meals, just put it on the rotating belt and it deliver to the cleaning department.

Then, I join Joan for her lunch and since I already took my lunch so I just consume hot chocolate from Burger King.

At the -5°C weather, we saw a pair of bride and groom taking their wedding photo here. I'm quite impress the courage of the bride because she can still wear the short version of wedding dress at this kind of environment, not to mentioned with the heels.

There's snow even in the drain

After that, we decided to pay a visit a Ginseng shop. We all knew ginseng is one of the popular thing in Korea especially for their famous ginseng chicken soup.

Then, we head to Namdaemun Market. Namdaemun Market is the largest and best general wholesale market in Korea. It is known for offering virtuaiiy every product imaginable, including clothing and textile products, everyday items, kitchen utensils, handicrafts, accessories, imported merchadise, food, miscellaneous articles, farm and fishery products, and much more to wholesale and retail customers nationwide inexpensively. Most of the shops and stalls directiy produce thir own wares. The stores open at about 10:30 p.m, and then come alive in the ween hours around 2:00 a.m. when retailers from all over the country on the maket to get the best wholesale deals. These unique scenes make Namdaemunmarket one of the major tourist shopping destinations, embodying the customer-first attitude and the diligence of Koreans.

Same old souvenirs

Then, suddenly we saw this weird little thing! It does remind me the baby alien in the 'Alien' movie. I felt gross. Sorry, no offence. Joan told me it was pig's legs. Hmm....never saw these sizes at all. =X

We do visit Daedo Shopping Tower but at the end bought nothing, but Samantha do bought her favourite Kimchi though.

Bought some masks for my mum and sisters

Bought clothes for myself and my niece

Our dinner taken here

Special sauce for us, pepper and onion. It taste sour and I like it.

Samantha and Joan order BBQ which is cost 24,000 won (RM80+)

And I order Ginseng Chicken Soup which cost 12,000 won (RM40). First time tried this and I think it was over-rated by some people. I think the taste is just moderate, not so bad though.
